Nicholas Henry (45) was sentenced to 21 years today, Wednesday, 26 October 2022 at the High Court in Glasgow for the murder of Daniel Greer (33).
Daniel Greer was found dead within his home at Rankin Crescent on Monday, 19 October, 2020.
Detective Chief Inspector Frank Travers of Police Scotland’s Major Investigation Team said:
"Daniel died as a result of a violent assault and his family have been left absolutely devastated.
"Although today’s conviction can’t change what happened, I hope that it can bring them at least a degree of closure.
"Our thoughts remain with them at this extremely difficult time.
"Violence like this has no place in our society and we will continue to work closely with our partners to bring perpetrators to justice
“I’d also like to thank the local people in the Greengairs and Airdrie communities for their assistance during this inquiry.
