High-value drugs recovery - A74(M), Johnstonebridge
Road Policing officers in Dumfries and Galloway have recovered cannabis, with an estimated street value of around £100,000, following a routine stop on the A74M near Johnstonebridge.
The recovery involved a Toyota Prius, which was stopped near to Junction 16, around 10.10am on Tuesday, 18 October, 2022.
Three men – aged 28, 33 and 44 – have been arrested and charged in connection with the recovery. They are expected to appear in court at a later date.
Sergeant Jonny Edgar, from Dumfries and Galloway Road Policing Unit, said: “This recovery, and the good work involved from officers, shows that we will use every tool and tactic at our disposal to remove illegal drugs from our communities.
