Appeal after woman robbed in Baillieston
Detectives in Glasgow are appealing for information after a robbery in the Baillieston area of the city.
The incident happened shortly after 2.05pm on Monday, 24 October on Main Street.
A 53-year-old woman was approached by a man who then engaged her in a struggle and stole her purse before making off with it and the contents.
The woman was uninjured but left shaken by the experience.
The man is described as being white, approximately 5ft 5in or 5ft 6in tall and of slim build.
He was wearing a grey puffa jacket, black tracksuit with white stripes and dark coloured footwear.
Detective Sergeant Willie Downie of Shettleston Police Station said: “Our enquiries so far suggest this man had been in the area for some time before the robbery and we would be keen to speak to anyone who believes they may have seen him to get in touch.
“The incident happened directly opposite a bus stop and the area was busy at the time.
“Anyone who believes they may have seen anything is asked to call 101, quoting reference 1742 of 24 October, or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
