Six men sentenced in connection with a series of firebombing incidents in Greenock
Six men have been sentenced at the High Court in Glasgow today in connection with a series of firebombing incidents in Greenock in 2020.
Craig McFarlane, 26 was sentenced to 15 years in prison.
Cain Carr, 23, was sentenced to 10 years in prison.
Both were previously convicted on Thursday, 22 September, 2022.
Brendan O’Donnell, 24, was sentenced to nine years in prison.
Drew Darling, 28, was sentenced to six years in prison.
Kieran McAnally, 26, was sentenced to nine years in prison.
Robert Warnock, 26, was sentenced to 15 years and three months in prison.
They had previously pled guilty on Wednesday, 14 September, 2022.
Superintendent Douglas Falconer said: “These acts were reckless and deliberate and showed complete disregard for those who could have been hurt as a result.
“This was a complex investigation and it is down to the hard work of officers, partner agencies including the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, Inverclyde Council and The Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service, as well as the local community, that we were able to bring these men to justice.”
