Serious assault – Whitecrook, Clydebank
Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was seriously assaulted by two men in Whitecrook, Clydebank, in the early hours of Monday, 31 October 2022.
Between 3 am and 3.30 am on Monday morning, a 37-year-old man was attacked by the occupants of a small silver hatchback car on Wood Quadrant.
The two men, only described as approximately 6ft in height, of medium to heavy build and wearing dark clothing, attacked the man with a weapon before driving off in the car towards Brown Avenue.
The injured man sought the assistance of a passing motorist who took him to a local police office. He was then taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow where he was treated for a head injury and has since been discharged.
Detective Constable Ross Gemmell, Clydebank CID, said:
“Although this attack happened in the early hours of the morning, I am sure that someone will have either seen or heard a disturbance in Wood Quadrant. I am keen to hear from anyone who may have information, including any dash-cam or doorbell footage, that could assist our investigation.”
