Serious assault in Grieve Road, Greenock
Detectives are appealing for information after a 43-year-old man was seriously assaulted in Greenock on Monday, 31 October.
Around 4pm, the man was walking with a friend on Grieve Road at its junction with Old Inverkip Road when he was approached from behind and assaulted.
He was taken by Ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow where he was treated for stab wounds.
Detective Constable Kirsty Murray said: “Our enquiries are continuing into this incident and we are viewing CCTV footage to gather more information on the man responsible.
“If you were in the area and witnessed this attack or if you have any information that will assist our ongoing investigation, please contact us. We are also keen to obtain any dash-cam from motorists driving near this junction at the time.
