Man seriously assaulted on Rivergate, Irvine
Detectives at Saltcoats are appealing for information after a 30-year-old man was seriously assaulted in Irvine on Saturday, 26 November, 2022.
Around 4.15pm, the man was cycling along Rivergate, when he was seriously assaulted by two men.
Police attended and the injured man was taken to Crosshouse Hospital in Kilmarnock to be treated for his injuries.
The first suspect is described as white and in his early 20’s. He was wearing black trousers, a black t-shirt and a dark-coloured baseball cap.
The second suspect is described as white and in his early 20’s with black hair. He was wearing black trousers and a grey zipped top.
Detective Constable Stevie Williams said: “Our investigation into this incident is continuing and officers have been carrying out enquiries and gathering CCTV footage.
“Rivergate was busy on Saturday afternoon when this incident happened and I would urge any witnesses or anyone with information that may assist our investigation to contact us.”
