Man charged with thefts and housebreakings in Easter Ross
A 36-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with several thefts and housebreakings in the Alness and Dingwall areas of Easter Ross throughout November.
He is expected to appear at Inverness Sheriff Court today (Tuesday, 15 November).
Inspector Christopher Murray of Alness Police Station said : “I would like to take this opportunity to remind householders of the importance of home security at this time year. It is getting darker earlier and we do not want to give thieves the chance to prosper.
“A few simple measures, like locking all your windows and doors, keep a light on if you are going out, timers are a great idea if you are going away for a few days.
“Consider installing preventative measures, such as camera door bells, an alarm and lighting outside your property.”
