Investigation under way in Prestwick following a sexual assault
Detectives are continuing enquiries following a sexual assault in Prestwick.
Around 1.30am on Sunday, 13 November, 2022, a 21-year-old woman was in Main Street, near to Boydfield Gardens, Prestwick when a man approached her and sexually assaulted her.
The suspect is white, around 30-40 years of age with short, dark hair with a local accent. He was wearing a dark-coloured jacket, light blue jeans and dark-coloured footwear. He ran off Boydfield Gardens, onto Station Road, before running into Midton Road.
Officers are gathering relevant CCTV footage and reviewing it for any additional information.
Detective Constable Graham Cuthill said: “I am appealing to anyone who may have any information about this incident to get in touch. If anyone saw or noticed anything suspicious, or has any information on the suspect, please do get in touch with us. In particular, anyone with a dash cam is asked to check the footage as it may have captured images which could assist the investigation.”
