Appeal for information following wilful fire-raising in Cumbernauld
Detectives in North Lanarkshire are appealing for information following two wilful fire-raising incidents.
The first happened around 9am on Sunday, 13 November, 2022, in Burns Road, Cumbernauld. Officers received a report of a man attempting to set fire to a vehicle.
The second incident happened around 8.15pm on the same date in the same location. A separate vehicle was deliberately set on fire.
There were no reports of injuries.
The man seen in the area at the time of both incidents is described as in his late 30s, around 5ft 10in tall with dark brown messy hair and dark facial hair. He was wearing a black hooded jumper, black bomber style jacket and black trousers.
A black Skoda Octavia car was also seen at the scene of both incidents.
