Appeal following serious assault in Irvine, Thursday 3 November
Officers in Ayrshire are appealing for information following a serious assault in Irvine on Thursday, 3 November, 2022.
The incident happened around 8.15pm at the junction of Livingston Terrance and Beaton Terrace in the town.
A 35-year-old man was approached by a group of five or six young men and assaulted. He was treated at Crosshouse Hospital for a serious injury.
The men were aged between 18 and 25 and all dressed in black. Officers are keen to speak to them.
Detective Constable Fraser Murray, of Saltcoats CID, said: “I am asking anyone who was in the area before and after this assault to get in touch as you may have information that could help with our investigation.
“I am also asking anyone with dash-cam or private CCTV that might assist with our enquiries to get in touch.”
