Investigation launched following serious assault in Clydebank
An investigation is under way following a report of a serious assault in Clydebank on Saturday, 21 May 2022.
Around 5.30am, police received a report a 25-year-old man had been injured at Meldrum Street in Clydebank. The man was treated at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for a head injury.
Officers have been carrying out door to door enquiries in the area and will review any relevant CCTV for any additional information.
Detective Constable Thomas O’Donnell said: “We believe this is a targeted attack and it’s imperative we trace whoever is responsible. I am appealing to anyone who was in the area of Meldrum Street in the early hours of Saturday morning to contact us with any information they may have. Any small piece of information could prove vital to our investigation so please do pass it on.”
