Appeal for information in Dumfries following disturbance
Detectives are continuing enquiries following a disturbance, resulting in two men being injured, in Dumfries.
Just after midnight (00.01am) on Wednesday, 25 May, 2022, police received a report of a disturbance at a flat in Church Street, Dumfries. Emergency services attended and two men, aged 35 and 29, were taken to hospital. One man aged 29, has been transferred to hospital in Edinburgh.
A man, aged 35, has been arrested in connection with the incident and enquiries are ongoing.
Officers are carrying out door-to-door enquiries and will be checking for any relevant CCTV footage.
Detective Inspector Graeme Robertson said: “We believe there were other people in the flat around the time of the disturbance and I am appealing to them to contact us as they could have vital information which could assist our enquiries. I would also like to ask local residents who may have heard a disturbance or who may have seen something suspicious to get in touch with us. It’s imperative we establish exactly what has happened here.”
