Man who died in road crash on the A938 near Carrbridge has been named
Officers are appealing for information following a fatal road crash near Carrbridge on Thursday 26 May 2022.
Around 5.40pm, police received a report of a one-vehicle crash on the A938 near Carrbridge.
Emergency services attended and a 74-year-old man, the driver, was pronounced dead at the scene. A 73-year-old female passenger was taken to Raigmore Hospital.
The deceased can be named as Frank Spencer. His family has paid tribute to him.
“Tragically, as a result of events on the 26 May 2022, we sadly lost Frank Spencer, our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. Julia was seriously injured but is receiving amazing care at Raigmore hospital.
“The whole family would like to thank the people who were first on scene, for their kindness and compassion. Our heartfelt gratitude also goes to the emergency services for their professionalism and empathy, which has helped immensely.”
Enquiries into the incident are ongoing and anyone with information is asked to call Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 2596.
