Appeal following fatal crash on Glasgow Road, Glasgow
Road Policing officers are appealing for information following a fatal crash in the Garrowhill area of Glasgow.
Around 8.20am on Sunday, 24 April, police received a report of a one vehicle road traffic collision involving a Black Audi Q3 on Glasgow Road, which had left the roadway and collided with a tree.
Emergency services attended and the 80-year-old male driver of the Audi was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary. The man was transferred to Queen Elizabeth University where he later died from his injuries.
Enquiries into the crash remain ongoing and anyone who was travelling in the area around the time of the incident are asked to come forward.
Sergeant Douglas Scott, of the Glasgow Road Policing Unit, said: “At this time, our thoughts are with the family and friends of the deceased, following their tragic loss.
“As we continue our enquiries, I would urge anyone with information that could help with our investigation or any potential dashcam footage to please get in touch.”
