Appeal following deliberate HGV fire in Springfield Road, Shotts
Police are appealing for information after an HGV was deliberately set on fire at a business premises in Shotts.
Officers were made aware of the blaze on Springfield Road in the Salsburgh area around 3.10am on Monday, 2 May, 2022.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service extinguished the fire, and there were no reports of any injuries, but several vehicles were damaged as a result.
The suspect is described as a white man, between 5ft 10 and 6ft in height, of slim build and wearing dark clothing with a hood.
Enquiries are ongoing and the fire is being treated as wilful.
Detective Constable Carla O'Neill said: “Thankfully no-one was injured by this reckless act but significant damage has been caused as a result
“I am appealing for anyone who saw anything suspicious to please get in touch with local officers."
