Witness appeal following crash involving a car and a motorbike in Dundee
Road Policing officers in Dundee are appealing for information and witnesses following a road crash involving a car and a motorbike, which took place on the Kingsway West yesterday (Sunday, 27 March).
The incident took place near to Macalpine Road, around 3.15pm, and involved a grey Audi TT and an Aprillia motorbike.
As a result of the incident, the 56-year-old man riding the motorbike was taken to Ninewells Hospital with serious, but not life-threatening injuries. The 50-year-old man who was the driver and sole occupant of the car was uninjured.
The road was closed for investigation and vehicle recovery until around 6.40pm.
Sergeant Gordon Dickson, from the Tayside Road Policing Unit, said: “We’re appealing for anyone who was in the area and witnessed the crash or the vehicles involved to please come forward.
“We are particularly keen to hear from anyone who was traveling on the Kingsway and may have seen two motorbikes traveling together prior to the crash.
“If you have any information, or potential dashcam footage, please call 101, quoting incident 1961 of 27 March.”
