Armed Robbery - Blairdardie Road, Drumchapel, Glasgow
Police are appealing for information after a man, brandishing a firearm, robbed staff at a convenience store in Drumchapel, Glasgow on Tuesday, 8 March, 2022.
Around 4.10pm on Tuesday afternoon, a man threatened staff at the Keystore on Blairdardie Road with what was believed to be a handgun before running off with a two-figure sum of money in the direction of Blairdardie Road towards Moraine Avenue.
The suspect is described as white, 5ft 11, medium build, between 40 and 50 years of age, and was wearing a black hat, balaclava, navy fleece, dark blue jeans and bright blue trainers.
Constable Victoria Steele, of Greater Glasgow Police Division, said:
"This robbery is very concerning in that the man was armed and it happened mid-afternoon in an area where there is usually a lot of people including children.
"Officers have been checking CCTV and carrying out local enquiries but we would appeal to anyone not already spoken to by police, who was in the area at the time and who may have seen what happened or observed the man hanging about the area, to please get in touch.
"We are also keen to hear from anyone who may have dashcam footage of the street between 4pm and 4.30pm, as it may have captured footage that would be helpful to our investigation."
