Appeal for witnesses following assault on Albert Avenue, Glasgow
Officers in Glasgow are appealing for witnesses after a man was seriously assaulted in the city on Thursday 24 March 2022.
The 28-year old was hit on the head around 6.30pm on Albert Avenue at the junction with Maybank Street.
He required hospital treatment for a serious facial injury.
The suspect is described as Asian, around 5ft6/7, of slim build. He’s between 20 and 30 years of age, with dark hair that had a short fade at the sides, and a trimmed beard. He was wearing a dark coloured hoodie which had a shiny effect, black trousers and red, black and white Fila trainers.
Detective Constable Mark McCall from Cathcart Police Office said: “This has been a terrifying attack in broad daylight leaving a man requiring hospital treatment.
“We are asking anyone who witnessed the incident, or thinks they saw the suspect in the area at the time to get in touch.
“Similarly, we are keen to speak to anyone who has dash cam footage from the area around the time of the incident on Thursday to come forward.”
