Appeal following serious crash on Prospecthill Road, Glasgow
Officers are appealing for information following a serious road crash on Prospecthill Road, Glasgow on Sunday, 6 March 2022.
Around 7.50pm, a woman was struck by a car travelling westbound along Prospecthill Road, Glasgow.
The incident took place on the section of road outside St Brigid’s Catholic Church near the junction with Glenmore Avenue.
Emergency services attended and the 52-year-old woman was taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment
Medical staff have described the woman’s condition is life-threatening.
The 39-year-old driver of the car was uninjured.
Sergeant Kenny Malaney, of Road Policing Unit Glasgow, said:
“This incident happened in a very busy area, so we know there will have been a number of people around who witnessed the crash.
“We are currently trying to establish exactly what happened here and I would ask anyone who witnessed the collision to get in touch.
"In particular, I would ask anyone with dash cam devices to check their footage as it could hold images which could prove to be significant in our enquiries.
"Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting incident 3085 of Sunday, 6 March 2022."
