Appeal after woman was robbed in Ayr
Detectives are continuing their enquiries and appealing for information after a 33-year-old woman was robbed as she was walking in a lane between Castlehill Road and Meadow Park Drive in Ayr.
The incident happened between 8pm and 8.30pm on Monday, 21 March, when the woman was knocked to the ground by a man who approached her from behind. He grabbed her bag which contained a two-figure sum of cash.
The woman did not required hospital treatment however she was extremely shaken as a result of this robbery.
Detective Sergeant Craig Gilmour said: “We are working to trace the man responsible for this robbery and we would appreciate any help the public can give us.
"He is described as wearing a dark-coloured hooded top and a blue disposable face mask.
“I would appeal to anyone who was in the area of Castlehill Road and Meadow Park Drive on Monday evening who witnessed this crime, or who saw anyone acting suspiciously to contact officers.
“If anyone has personal footage that may assist this investigation, please get in touch.”
