Three males charged following series of acquisitive crimes in the North East
Three males, aged 22, 20 and 15, have been arrested and charged in connection with a series of vehicle thefts and attempted vehicle thefts in the North East.
Between Tuesday, 31 May, and Thursday, 23 June, 2022, police received 11 reports of vehicle thefts and attempted vehicle thefts in the Aberdeen area. These incidents occurred on Linksfield Court, Kings Court, Pittodrie Place, Cattofield Place, Foresterhill Court, Donbank Terrace, Gordons Mills Road, Westray Road, Mastrick Road, Bonnyview Drive and Dubford Terrace.
The males appeared at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Friday, 24 June.
Constable Robert Gordon, of Operation Armour, said: “I am pleased that we were able to arrest three males in connection with these incidents. These types of crimes can have a devastating impact on victims and their communities which is why tackling acquisitive crimes remains one of our top priorities. Please report any unusual or suspicious behaviour to police via 101, ideally at the time it occurs.”
