Seven men sentenced following drugs trafficking investigation in Dundee
Police Scotland has welcomed the sentencing of seven men at the High Court in Glasgow for their part in a £380,000 drugs trafficking operation centred on Dundee.
Richard Parvin, 38, Neil Brown, 34, Francis Ross senior, 47, George McLean, 32, Francis Ross junior 22, Craig Mitchell, 30, and 34 year-old John Cord were jailed today (Monday, 6 June, 2022) after previously pleading guilty.
They were among 57 people arrested during an operation to combat the supply of Class A controlled drugs in the Tayside area by organised criminals.
During the operation, between July and October 2018, heroin and cocaine with a street value of over £380,000 was seized, along with £12,000 in cash.
Detective Chief Inspector Iain McPhail, of Police Scotland’s Specialist Crime Division, said: “Following a complex investigation seven people are now in jail and no longer bringing drugs onto the streets and into our communities and I welcome the sentencing.
“We will not hesitate to tackle organised drug crime and Police Scotland is committed to bringing those responsible for the production and sale of drugs to justice.
