Re-appeal following fatal road crash on the A702, near Elsrickle
Road Policing Officers are re-appealing for information after a 45-year-old man died following road crash involving a Honda motorbike and a lorry on the A702, near Elsrickle on Monday, 6 June.
The 45-year-old motorcyclist who died can now be named as John Morrison from Whitburn.
A report has been forwarded to the Procurator Fiscal.
Sergeant Andy Currie from the Road Policing Unit at Motherwell said: “Our thoughts remain with Mr Morrison’s family and friends.
“Enquiries continue into the cause of this crash and I would again urge anyone who witnessed this crash or who has any information that may assist us to come forward. We are keen to speak to the driver of a minibus that stopped at the scene shortly after the crash happened and provided assistance. The bus was heading to Edinburgh and I would urge the driver to contact us as soon as possible as he may hold information that will assist our investigation.
“We would also ask anyone driving on the A702 in the Elsrickle area before the crash took place to contact us.”
