Man named following Shetland death

Liam Macdonald

Police today have confirmed the name of the 23-year-old man who died following an incident at the wind farm site in Shetland as Liam Macdonald.

Liam was from the Tain area.

The incident happened at around 10.15am on Sunday, 5 June, 2022 at the construction site in the Upper Kergord area.

The Health and Safety Executive have been made aware and his family are being supported.

Enquires will continue to establish the full circumstances of what happened.
