Appeal for witnesses following serious crash on A77 in Girvan
Officers in Ayrshire are appealing for information following a serious road crash on the A77 Vicarton Street in Girvan.
The incident occurred around 10.45am on Monday, 6 June, 2022, and involved a black Citroen C4 and a pedestrian.
The 82-year-old female pedestrian was taken to hospital and is receiving treatment for serious injuries.
The driver of the car was uninjured.
Sergeant Chris Hoggans, of Ayrshire Road Policing Unit, said: “An elderly woman sustained serious injuries as a result of this crash and I am appealing for anyone witnesses who have not yet spoken to officers to get in touch.
“I would also urge anyone with dashcam footage that could assist our investigation to contact police.
“Anyone with information is asked to call Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident 1092 of 6 June.”
