Appeal for witnesses after crash between motorbike and van in Kilmarnock

Road policing officers from Irvine are appealing for information following a crash between a van and a motorbike in Kilmarnock.

It happened in the Moorfield Industrial Estate around 2.10pm on Tuesday, 7 June, 2022.

The 45-year-old male rider of the motorbike was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where he remains in a critical condition. The 39-year-old male driver of the van was uninjured.

The road was closed for around four hours while crash investigations were carried out.

Officers are appealing for anyone who saw what happened or anyone who may have dash-cam footage of the area at the time to contact police on 101 quoting reference 1863 of 7 June, 2022.
