Appeal following serious crash on the A836 in Caithness
Road policing officers are appealing for information after a motorcyclist was seriously injured on a crash on the A836 in Caithness.
The crash happened around 3.15pm on Tuesday, 14 June, 2022, at Quarryside, Castletown and involved a BMW R1100 motorcycle and a Skoda Karoq.
The 39-year-old male motorcyclist was taken to Caithness General Hospital and later transferred to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary with what are described as life threatening injuries.
The driver and passengers of the car were not injured.
The road was closed for around eight hours for crash investigation and recovery of the vehicles.
Sergeant Ewan Calder of North Road Policing said: “At this time, we are continuing with enquiries to establish the full circumstances.
“We would urge anyone who may have witnessed the crash or have dashcam footage that may help with our enquiries to get in touch.”
