Appeal following serious assault in Dalrymple Street in Greenock
Detectives are appealing for information after a man was seriously assaulted in Greenock.
The serious assault happened at around 2.55am on Sunday, 19 June, 2022 outside the Word Up nightclub in Dalrymple Street.
The 20-year-old male victim was taken Inverclyde Royal Hospital for treatment.
Detective Inspector Nikki Wake of CID said : “The man sustained a violent physical attack, which resulted in him being treated for serious injuries in hospital.
“Our enquiries into the assault are ongoing and we are carrying out a review of CCTV.
“The male suspect is described as being early 20s, wearing a dark jumper, light trousers and white trainers.
“We are keen to talk to anyone who may have been in the area around the time of this incident to get in touch with us. I would particularly appeal to taxi drivers or those who attended the club to come forward if you witnessed the assault.
