Serious road crash on the B7076, Ecclefechan to Kirkpatrick Fleming
Road Policing Officers are appealing for information after a serious crash on the B7076 between Ecclefechan and Kirkpatrick Fleming on Monday, 4 July.
Around 5.35am on Monday, officers were called to a report of a crash involving a Ford Fiesta that had left the road.
Police and Ambulance attended and the 47-year-old male driver and his 42-year-old female passenger were both taken to Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary where they are being treated for their injuries. Hospital staff describe their conditions as serious but stable.
Sergeant Callum Ruddick of the Divisional Road Policing Unit at Lockerbie said: “Our investigation into the cause of this crash is continuing and I would appeal to anyone with information that may assist our enquiries to contact us.
“Anyone who was driving on the B7076 between Ecclefechan and Kirkpatrick Fleming on Monday morning, who may have seen the Ford Fiesta driving on the road before the crash occurred is asked to contact 101 quoting reference number 0444 of Monday, 4 July.”
