Police operation nets drugs in Kirriemuir
Two people have been arrested following a police operation in Kirriemuir on Thursday, 7 July, 2022.
Around 7.15am this morning, officers acting under warrant, entered a house in Clova Road and recovered a quantity of Etizolam tablets, worth an estimated street value of more than £28,000. A quantity of cash was also seized in the operation.
A man aged, 28 and a woman, aged 24, have been arrested and charged in connection with the seizure. Both are due to appear at Forfar Sheriff Court on Friday, 8 July, 2022 and a report will be prepared for the Procurator Fiscal.
Detective Inspector Scott Carswell said: “This operation has resulted in harmful drugs being removed from our streets. Tackling drug dealing and drug abuse remains a priority for us and the public can be assured that we will act on information and target those involved in any criminal activity.”
