Man seriously assaulted in Prestwick
Detectives in Ayrshire are appealing for information after a man was seriously assaulted in Prestwick.
The man was with a group of friends on Main Street, near the junction with Kyle Street, around 10.30pm on Saturday, 16 July, 2022, when there was an altercation with two other men who were unknown to the group.
The 20-year-old later required surgery at University Hospital Ayr for his injuries.
This appears to have been an isolated incident and officers are considering whether it was a targeted attack.
Officers are keen to trace the two men.
The first is described as 30-40 years old, around 6ft 1in tall, of stocky build and bald. He was wearing a black t-shirt and jeans.
The second man is described as 20-30 years old, 5ft 9in tall, of heavy build with short dark hair. He was wearing a blue t-shirt and shorts.
