Appeal following serious assault on Argyle Street, Glasgow, Saturday 2 July, 2022
Detectives are appealing for information following a serious assault that happened on Argyle Street, near the Sainsbury Local store, Trongate, Glasgow, on Saturday, 2 July, 2022.
The incident happened around 3.10pm when a 42-year-old man sustained a serious head and eye injury and was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment.
Officers are keen to trace a man seen at the scene. He is described as white, around 6ft, aged 25 to 35-years-old, with dark hair and a trimmed beard. He was wearing a dark coloured Hugo Boss t-shirt, a grey hooded jumper, dark shorts and dark trainers.
Detective Constable Jenna Baillie said: “The area was busy around the time of this incident and I am asking anyone who saw anything to get in touch.
“I am also asking anyone who knows the man described, or the man himself, to get on touch as we believe he can help with our ongoing investigation.
