Appeal following attempted murder on Gartcraig Road in Glasgow
Detectives in Glasgow are appealing for information following a disturbance that left a man seriously injured.
Around 10pm on Tuesday, 5 July, three men entered a premises on Gartcraig Road in Glasgow and attacked a man.
A 39-year-old man suffered serious injuries as a result of the incident and was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow where he remains.
Officers are carrying out extensive enquiries into the incident which is being treated as attempted murder.
The three male suspects are described as being white and at the time of the incident were wearing hooded clothing, with two of the suspects wearing face coverings.
Detective Inspector Ross Jamieson of Shettleston CID said: “A man has been seriously injured in what we believe to be a targeted attack.
“I am appealing to anyone who was in the Gartcraig Road area around the time of the incident to get in touch with officers as soon as possible.
“If you noticed the three men in the street, or any other small piece of information that could prove relevant to our enquiries, I would urge you contact police.
“I would also ask motorists who were driving in the area around that time to check their footage as it may have captured images which could help us in locating the men responsible for this attack.”
