Man charged in connection with death of man in Greenock

Police Scotland can confirm that a 27-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the death of Adam Anderson in Greenock.

Adam Anderson (22) was found seriously injured off Ann Street around 3.50pm on Sunday, 2 January, before being pronounced dead at Inverclyde Royal Hospital a short time later.

The accused is expected to appear at Greenock Sheriff court on Monday, 10 January 2022.

Detective Chief Inspector Stuart Grainger said: “Our thoughts remain with Adam’s family and friends at this terrible time.

“We would also like to thank the public for their assistance with our investigation.”
