Wilful fireraising – Hillcroft Terrace, Bishopbriggs

Detectives are appealing for witnesses after a car was set on fire in Bishopbriggs on Wednesday, 9 February.

Around 11.30pm on Wednesday evening, officers were called to a car park at Hillcroft Terrace in Bishopbriggs where an Audi A3 had been set on fire.

The fire was extinguished by Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and police are treating the fire as wilful.

Detective Inspector Ross Jamieson said: “Our investigation is continuing to trace whoever is responsible for this crime.  Officers have been carrying out enquiries in the local area and are viewing CCTV footage to gather more information.

“I would like to speak to anyone who was in the area of Hillcroft Terrace after 11pm on Wednesday evening who witnessed anything suspicious or who has any information that may help.  Any details should be passed by phoning 101 with reference 3844 of 9 February.  Alternatively Crimestoppers can be contacted on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained.”
