Serious assault - Argyle Street, Glasgow City Centre
Police are appealing for information after a man was seriously assaulted in Glasgow City Centre on Monday, 31 January, 2022.
Around 5pm on Monday evening, a 36-year-old man sustained a serious facial injury after being struck by a bottle during a disturbance on Argyle Street near to James Watt Street.
Officers are checking local CCTV and making enquiries to trace the man responsible who, at this time, is only described as white and wearing dark clothing and a beanie hat.
Detective Constable David Crawford, Police Scotland, said:
"The disturbance, involving two men, spilled on to the street and in front of cars that would have had to swerve to avoid them.
"Argyle Street would have been busy around this time and I would ask anyone who was in the area, or who may have been driving by and captured images on dash-cam, to contact police."
