Four men arrested and charged following County Lines drug operation
Officers from Police Scotland’s North East Division Organised Crime Group Team have arrested and charged four men allegedly involved in a County Lines drug operation in Aberdeen and Edinburgh.
On Tuesday, 1 February, 2022, following the searches of four address in the King Street area of Aberdeen, cocaine and diamorphine with a 'street' value of around £30,000 were recovered. Three men aged, 33, 39 and 52 were arrested, charged and appeared at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Wednesday, 2 February, 2022.
A further address in Edinburgh was searched under warrant today, Tuesday, 8 February 2022, and a 33-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with drug offences. He is due to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Wednesday, 9 February, 2022.
Detective Inspector Martyn Thomson said:
“We remain committed to disrupting those involved in operating and benefiting from County Lines, who supply illegal drugs in the North East of Scotland. This operation demonstrates Police Scotland’s determination to seek out and apprehend those intent on causing harm in our communities.”
