Drugs worth an estimated £174,000 recovered and one man arrested following operation in Paisley
Detectives in Renfrewshire can confirm that a six-figure sum of Class A drugs has been seized following a proactive operation in the Paisley area.
On Tuesday, 22 February, 2022, a warrant was executed at a property on Lochfield Drive.
A quantity of heroin was recovered, with an estimated street value of up to £174,000.
A 63-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the recovery.
He is due to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court on Wednesday, 23 February, 2022.
Detective Inspector Robert Bowie, of Renfrewshire and Inverclyde's Serious and Organised Crime Team, said:
"This significant recovery reinforces our determination to target serious and organised crime.
"Drug misuse brings nothing but misery to our communities and people's lives can be ruined.
"I want to reassure the public that we will continue to use every tool and tactic at our disposal to remove these illegal substances from our streets.
"Serious and organised crime has no place in our society and we will continue to disrupt this, and any other criminal activity, which impacts on our lives and our communities.”
