Appeal for information following armed robbery in Kilmarnock
Detectives are appealing for witnesses after an armed robbery at a shop in Kilmarnock.
The incident happened at a premises in MacPhail Drive at around 9.15pm on Sunday, 27 February, 2022.
An unidentified man threatened a member of staff at the checkout and demanded money.
He left the shop on foot with a small sum of money and was last seen heading in the direction of New Farm Loch.
The shop worker was uninjured.
The suspect had his face covered and was wearing a knee-length high-viz jacket, grey jogging trousers and black trainers.
Detective Constable Allan Auld, from Kilmarnock CID, said: "Thankfully no one was injured as a result of this incident and extensive enquiries are ongoing to identify the man responsible.
"I would urge anyone who saw an individual matching this description on Sunday night in the area to come forward.
"I would also be keen to speak to anyone who may have private CCTV or dashcam footage from the area.
