Appeal following robbery of 72-year-old woman in Dundee

Police in Dundee are appealing for information following the robbery of a 72-year-old woman in the Hilltown area of the city.

The incident occurred on Hilltown near the SPAR around 12.25am on Saturday, 12 February, 2022.

The woman was approached by a man and a woman who forcefully stole her bag and ran off.

The victim did not sustain any injuries.

The male suspect is described as wearing an Under Armour baseball cap.

Detective Constable Steve Smith, of Dundee CID, said: “This was a frightening experience for the victim. Our enquiries are ongoing and we are appealing for anyone with any information to contact us.

“I am appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or who has any information which may assist us to get in touch.”
