Appeal following assault and attempted robbery in Perth
Detectives are appealing for information following an assault and attempted robbery in the Malvina Place area of Perth.
The incident happened around 5.30pm on Saturday, 5 February, when a man attempted to force his way into a property, assaulted a 24-year-old man, and demanded money. The man sustained minor injuries but did not require medical treatment.
The suspect is described as white, aged around 40, 5ft 6ins, of slim build and spoke with a local accent. He was wearing a hooded puffer style jacket, black on the top half and blue on the bottom, as well as jeans.
Sergeant Sean McCabe said: “Fortunately no one was seriously injured and nothing was taken but the occupants of the property were left shaken by what happened.
“We are appealing for anyone who saw anything suspicious around the time of the incident or afterwards to get in touch.”
