Police in Ayrshire seize Class A drugs

Two men have been arrested following a police operation in Kilwinning.

Around 6.20am on Saturday, 3 December, 2022, officers acting under warrant, entered a house in Almswall Road, Kilwinning and recovered Class A drugs, worth an estimated street value of more than £10,000. Officers also seized more than £6,000 in cash.

Two men aged 18 and 27, have been arrested and charged in connection with the incident. They are due to appear at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court on Monday, 5 December, 2022.

Detective Sergeant Andrea Templeton said: “This operation demonstrates our ongoing commitment to clearing our communities of drugs and the harm they cause in society. If you have any information about illegal activity in your area, please contact us in the assurance that we will act.”
