Death of woman and man arrested - Barra Drive, Airdrie

A 52-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the death of a woman at Barra Drive in Airdrie.

 

She can be named as Stacey Warnock, 51, from Airdrie.Stacey Warnock

 

The man is expected to appear at Hamilton Sheriff Court on Monday, 26 December.

 

Detective Inspector Campbell Jackson said: “Our thoughts are with Stacey’s family and friends and they are being provided with support by specialist officers.

 

“We believe this to be an isolated incident and there is no threat to the wider community.

 

“There may be a police presence in the area as our investigation continues and I would like to thank the local community for their assistance with our enquiries.”
