Arrest and charge following triple fatal crash on A711 near Dumfries

A 17-year-old male has been arrested and charged in connection with a fatal crash on the A711 Dumfries to Kirkcudbright road, which took place on Wednesday, 16 March, 2022.

The crash resulted in the deaths of three 16-year-old boys and caused serious injuries to three further men.

A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal and the 17-year-old is expected to appear in court at a later date.
