Appeal for information following two car fires in Bathgate

Detectives are appealing for information after two cars were set on fire outside a house in Bathgate.

The incident happened shortly after 10:05pm on Sunday, 27 November, 2022, in Meadowpark Avenue, Bathgate.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service attended and the fires were extinguished. No one was injured.

Enquiries are ongoing and officers are appealing for witnesses.

Detective Constable Kenny Alexander said: “Fortunately no one was injured in this incident, however both vehicles were extensively damaged.

“Our enquiries have established that two persons, both dressed in dark clothing, attended the area in a small blue van. They were last seen running west along Meadowpark Avenue after the fire started.

“I would urge anyone who witnessed the incident or who has CCTV footage of the suspects or the blue van to get in touch.
