Appeal for information following a serious crash on Alcath Road, Newmains, Wishaw
Road Policing officers in Lanarkshire are appealing for information following a serious crash in Newmains, Wishaw.
About 9.20am on Sunday, 4 December, 2022 a white Ford Transit van collided with an unoccupied blue Ford Transit flatbed van on Alcath Road near to Bonkle Road.
Emergency services attended, and a 46-year-old man, the passenger, was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Glasgow, for treatment of a serious head injury. His condition is described as stable. The driver was uninjured.
The road was closed while crash investigations were carried out and re-opened around 12.30pm.
Sergeant Craig McDonald said: “We’re appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the crash or was in the area at the time to get in touch.
“I would also ask if there are any other motorists with possible dash-cam footage or anyone with information that may help with our investigation to contact police.”
