Appeal following serious assault on Causeyside Street, Paisley

Police in Paisley are appealing for information following the serious assault of a 55-year-old man at a takeaway on Causeyside Street.

The incident took place around 11.15pm on Friday, 9 December, 2022. The victim suffered serious, but not life-threatening injuries.

The suspect is described as a white man, aged between 35-45, around 6ft and stocky build, with short dark receding hair and stubble. He was wearing a navy blue t-shirt and jeans.

Detective Constable Malcolm Clark, from Paisley CID, said: “Our enquiries have established that the area was quite busy at the time of the attack and the victim was spoken to by numerous members of the public.

“We are appealing to anyone with information on the incident to contact police on 101, quoting incident 1297 of 10 December. Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, if you wish to remain anonymous.”
