Appeal following one vehicle crash on the A77 near Kirkoswald, Ayrshire

Road policing officers are appealing for information following a one vehicle crash on the A77 near Kirkoswald.

The incident happened around 9am on Wednesday, 28 December, 2022, and involved a Mercedes Actros articulated large goods vehicle.

Emergency services attended and a 53-year-old man, the driver, was pronounced dead at the scene. His family are aware.

The road was closed and re-opened around 12.30pm.

Sergeant Gordon Stewart said: “Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and we are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to get in touch.

“In particular, we are appealing for anyone with dash-cam footage that could assist our investigation to make contact with officers.”
