Witness appeal after man attacked in Paisley
Police in Paisley are appealing for information after a 50-year-old man was seriously assaulted whilst walking over a footbridge between Abercorn Street and Carlile Place.
The incident took place around 6pm on Friday, 19 August, 2022.
The victim ran from the area following the attack, and was taken to hospital for treatment to serious injuries.
The suspect is described as being a white man, in his early-to-mid 20s, 6ft tall and slim build, with blonde hair, wearing a dark hoody.
Detective Sergeant Jason Buxton said: “This was an entirely unprovoked attack and we can only be thankful that the victim managed to get away and alert emergency services before things became even more serious.
“We’re appealing for anyone who was in the area and saw anything suspicious, or has any information, to please come forward.
